Skipping updates on Oklahoma for now.

Spent the last 10 days at Upaya Zen Center, first as a working resident and after the residents went on a mountain retreat, I stayed and did a personal retreat. Hiking, some work and resting. Perfect reset after weeks of driving almost every day.

Lots of hiking. Great trails, well marked and excellent views. Hard work though because of the altitude. Started at 7200 ft.

Visited Santa Fe Saturday with a cousin who lives in Albuquerque and can up for the day. Love this city. Artsy and lovely. Ran into Pride parade. Very creative.

Viewed the Loretto Chapel known for its miraculous spiral staircase. Look it up.

Some scenes from Santa Fe and it’s fabulous farmer’s market

Today I headed out to northern New Mexico. First to Bandelier National Monument, full of old Pueblo sites.

After that I went by a small pilgrimage site in Chimayo.

Then it was time to head to my campsite at Abiqui Lake. Beautiful but VERY windy. At least it is dry.

I’m getting better at using Word Press on my phone so updates should be sooner from now on.
